friday - june 12, 2026. hiking bear creek trail, point reyes
i am a compulsive documentarian: a record for later, i record before i’m gone. i take photos, videos, draw what i see and don’t see, write in a journal, ask myself questions like “why?” and “what is it for?” i assume the people around me will disagree with me that these moments are worth recording. i imagine falling off a roof and how broken-hearted i would be on the way down, knowing dreadfully that it was about to be all gone. or not gone, but just over. at least for me.
