sloth the yeti

please allow me to brag about my favorite baby, my most honored child, sloth the yeti. sloth is a replacemnt for melody monster, the stuffy i'd slept with for probably 15 years. over time i had repaired her felt face a few times only to eventually give in to entropy, and completely replaced her shredded flower print arms and striped cloth legs with knit arms and legs that flexed under pressure. she was a tired sleep soldier deserving of retirement, and sloth was a GIANT pink sloth musch too large to move with us across the country.

you may recognize this sloth from several of my youtube videos. after considering giving my giant sloth away, i realized it would be much more fun to carve him open and use his parts to make myself a son of my own design.

i spent some time sketching out ideas and found a design i felt honored the shape of melody monster, the face of the giant sloth, and the obsessive doodling of bigfeets and yetis i'd been drawing in my notebook for months.

i'm so pleased with how he turned out. when i see him propped up on the pillows on my side of the bed, i squee every time. it took several hours on the first day to hand sew his body and about 14 hours the second day to hand sew his face and then sew it to his head.

if you know how to teach me how to use a sewing machine, i have one and i don't know how to use it so please, help me.
